“Life isn’t a matter of milestones, but of moments.” – Rose Kennedy
It’s happened again. The twelfth month of the year is dawning, and yet most of us are still caught up with events and happenings from the first month of the year. “But where did all that time go?”, you ask, “It seemed like New Year’s Day was just yesterday! “
The passing of the moment is just that – a snap of the fingers, a blink of an eye – coming and going so quickly that most never seem to notice that they have been graced by it’s presence. Some even go to the extent to disregard that split second as trivial, even insignificant when compared to the bigger picture that is life itself.
But a moment can be so much more than just a moment.
It can be defining.
It can be exhilarating.
It can be magical.
It can be the roller-coaster ride of your life, or just a bleak trudge in the rain.
A moment can be anything you want it to be.
Some people hang on to a single moment in the past, and some only look forward to the future; both refusing to shift their perspectives, never realising what they are missing out on in the present.
A moment can change your world, but your world can also change a moment. We all have limited moments, so stop your time-abiding now. Stop holding back on everything that life has to offer- you will never know what surprises it has in store for you until you let go, and let life.
So stop waiting for moments. Create them.
Stop looking for magic. You are it.
I wish that I could tell you how beautiful you are. Yes, you.
I wish that you knew that your looks don’t, and never will, define you.
